Clinical supervision FAQ
No ClinicianX subscription or supervisor match fees. Approved supervisors can create and publish a profile without a ClinicianX fee. Professional supervision fees are arranged directly with the independent supervisor.
Independent OTs seeking clinical supervision and registered Occupational Therapists who meet ClinicianX's eligibility requirements to offer supervision.
Applicants must be registered Occupational Therapists with current AHPRA registration, the required clinical and supervision experience, no restrictions that prevent them from supervising, and current professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
Applicants must also agree to ClinicianX’s supervisor standards and terms. Every mandatory eligibility question must be answered before the profile form becomes available.
ClinicianX reviews each application before public listing, including clinical and supervision experience, relevant restrictions, insurance, and the information presented in the supervisor profile. The AHPRA registration check is a separate manual check against the official public register and requires the supervisor’s consent and declaration.
The badge confirms only that specified registration check. It does not imply AHPRA endorsement or guarantee suitability. Each profile links to the public AHPRA register: it is your responsibility to check a clinician’s current registration yourself and use your professional judgement when choosing a supervisor.
Profiles may offer clinical supervision, reflective practice, career and leadership development, support for new areas of practice, and guidance for independent or early-career OTs. Availability, service methods, experience, and focus areas are shown on each profile.
OTs can search approved profiles by location, experience, clinical interests, supervision style, service method, and availability. Detailed profiles and introductory videos help clinicians build a shortlist.
Messaging and booking links support pre-match questions. A match is confirmed only when both people agree to begin a supervision relationship.
Yes. Where a supervisor offers one, you can request a free initial discovery call to discuss goals, supervision style, availability, and practical arrangements before making a commitment. The profile shows whether a discovery call is available.
Initial contact can happen through ClinicianX messaging or a supervisor’s booking link. Supervision appointments, contracts, and payments for supervision services are then agreed directly between the OT and supervisor outside ClinicianX.
No. Do not share sensitive or personally identifiable client information through ClinicianX messaging. Use secure channels that meet your professional, organisational, and privacy obligations for all client-related communication.
