Yet for many Occupational Therapists, finding a supervisor with the right expertise, availability and professional fit remains unnecessarily difficult.

While our platform is open to all Occupational Therapists looking for support, we’re committed to addressing the health inequalities that exist in rural, remote and regional areas.

We’re working towards a future where every clinician, regardless of their location, has access to high-quality support, empowering them to deliver exceptional care and achieve improved client outcomes.

Meet the founder

Built from an OT need

I’m Caitlin, an Occupational Therapist and the founder of ClinicianX.

Upon completion of a 14-month journey around Australia in 2024, I gained insights working across three states. My experience highlighted the negative impact of insufficient access to quality clinical support for Occupational Therapists in rural, remote and regional areas. Across the board, my colleagues and I experienced significant stress and professional burnout as a result.

Based on ongoing input and encouragement from the OT community, I took the initiative to develop something I genuinely wished was already in existence.

The vision is to become a nationwide digital platform that serves OTs by removing the geographical and organisational barriers that hamper access to experienced supervisors and mentors. By providing an online platform that hosts a network of approved clinical supervisors, OTs in need can receive the same level of guidance and support as their urban counterparts.

Availability and geographic coverage may be limited. ClinicianX facilitates discovery and enquiries; users remain responsible for deciding whether a clinician is suitable, and an enquiry does not guarantee service acceptance.
